Gracie
A Life Seen In Time.
Found At Moran Market
On February 15, 2017, during a routine investigative mission at Moran Market in South Korea, one of K9 Global Rescue's co-founders discovered Gracie.
It was immediately clear that she was not just another dog in the market. Gracie appeared to be a stolen pet, and her life was in immediate danger. K9 Global Rescue took action to get her out before she could be slaughtered.
The Road To Safety
After her rescue, Gracie spent about a month in foster care in Korea. Then Jon, co-founder of K9 Global Rescue, flew her to Denver, Colorado, where she joined his family and began a new life.
A New Life
Gracie was smart, beautiful, and full of love. Like so many dogs rescued from the dog meat trade, she wanted what every animal deserves: safety, kindness, freedom, and a family of her own.
After arriving in Colorado, Gracie had the freedom she was nearly denied. She ran, played, and lived as part of a family that loved her. Her story remains a reminder that the dogs caught in this trade are not numbers. They are individuals with personalities, emotions, and the ability to give unconditional love.
Refusing To Look Away
Gracie's life changed because someone saw her, recognized the danger she was in, and refused to look away. Her memory continues to carry that truth forward.
